Philip Turner

My vision of landscape painting tries to define the ‘spirit in nature’ - the sublimity of nature in her wild state.

Philip has exhibited with the gallery since 2002 and has had two joint shows at he gallery, one with Helen Donnelly in 2004, followed by another with Andrew McDowall in 2006.

 

Born in Scarborough in 1949, he obtained a BTec foundation at Yorkshire Coast campus followed by degree in University College Scarborough between 1995-98 and a Masters at York University from 1998-2000.  He began exhibiting in shows from 1989 and exhibited extensively in the North until showing with Oliver Contemporary. His work is in many private collections.
