I always start from drawings because this is the only real way of seeing. My concern is not with reproducing a likeness but in capturing the essential characteristics of my subject.
Tony Scrivener
Tony has been exhibiting with the gallery since 2002. He has had one solo show to date:

Born in London, Tony Scrivener moved to Dorset in 1970. In 1997 he obtained a distinction hin his diploma in Fine Art at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and gained a first in completion of an Open University BA Hons degree. Exhibiting regularly at Bettles Gallery, The Royal Academy Summer exhibitions, Bournemouth University regurlarly and Royal Society of British Artists and Society of Landscape Painters at the Mall Galleries.
