I sketch as I walk…..I love the lively, free quality that I can achieve in my drawings when I work outside. I make sketches of things that I glimpse along the way.
Elaine Turnbull
Exhibiting with the gallery since 2021, Elaine was born in Sunderland in 1963 and presently lives and works in Cornwall. After completing a degree in Art and Design in 2000-1 in Bath, she did a foundation course in Art and Design between 1981-2 in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne College of Art and in 1985 was awarded an Andrew Grant scholarship from Edinburgh College of Art where she completed a Printed Textile degree. She is a member of the St Ives Society of Artists and an Associate Member of the Penwith Society. She has been included in an extensive range of exhibitions since 2004 and her work is in numerous private collections around the country.
