I don’t see any difference between representational pieces or more abstracted pieces, it's all paint, it all balances on the painting, it all conflicts on the painting. Paint, paint, paint.
David Ralph Simpson
David has exhibited with the gallery since 2003 and has had three solo shows to date:

Born in 1963 in Plymouth, he studied art at Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Polytechnic from 1982-5. He was a prizewinner the following year at the Brewhouse Open ’86 & a regional prizewinner in the Laing Competition in 1990 & 94. In the early to mid 90’s, he worked on mural commissions for Exeter City Council. Between 2000-04 he was an invited artist at Glyndebourne Opera Festival. David exhibits internationally and his work is in numerous private collections.
