Keith Purser

Painting has always been preoccupied by landscape & seascape, but of places partly remembered, partly imagined, more recently tending to a simplified and abstract summary of the initial impulse to settle on one idea rather than another, that idea being of somewhere to either revisit or discover for the first time.

Keith has exhibited with the gallery since 2001 and in to date has had one solo exhibition:

Coast: 8th - 31st March 2007

 

Born in Kent in 1944, he attended Sidcup School of Art between 1960-2. After extensive travelling on the continent & middle East he finally settled on the south east coast as an artist. He had his first solo show at Jonathan Clark Fine Art in 1989 and several more since. He is a member of Rye Society of Artists & his work is in numerous collections worldwide.
