I’m inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of south west Scotland where I live. My prints are an attempt to capture the essence of the creatures (mainly birds) which I portray.
Lisa Hooper
Exhibiting with the gallery since 2018, Lisa was born in Hampshire & she became a full time artist in 2006. Notable highlights in her artistic career include winning the Birds, Birds, Birds prize for her Bird Alphabet at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art in 2007 & holding a solo show at the Wetlands headquarters in Slimbridge (2nd exhibition in 2011) . In 2008 she was awarded the Birds illustrated prize for the most outstanding piece of avian art. She is a regular exhibitor at SWLA. She was both winner of the Artist Magazine Award at the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the year exhibition in 2015 & the Langford Press Printmaking award in 2018 at the Society of Wildlife Artists’ exhibition. In 2019, she was elected Associate Member of the Society of Wildlife Artists. Her prints are regularly illustrated by Art Angels for greetings cards.
